New Guinsaugon “adopted” residents from Tambis after flooding there in January, Cabacungan said. Evacuees were given shelter at the local school and health centre and monitored by local health officials.“Every time there would be floods (there), they would come here,” said Cabacungan, pleased with her village’s new role. “We’re now the host.”
